Energy using Products (EuP) (www.eupconsumer.eu) – Consumer Project Find out more about BEUC and ANEC’s work on eco-design, to ensure that consumers’ concerns are taken into account when defining the Implementing Measures of the Energy using Products Directive (EuP). The Directive aims at setting up eco-design requirements for energy-using products such as washing machines, dishwashers and televisions.

PrivacyOS Project (https://www.privacyos.eu) PrivacyOS is a thematic network for privacy infrastructures funded by the European Commissions' ICT-PSP-Programme. This network discusses privacy challenges and develops privacy infrastructures. Over a two year period of time participants meet on four Open Space conferences to exchange challenges and solutions.

It allows them to benefit from each others experiences, to learn about enforcement possibilities and ultimately to develop as a strong enforcement player at national and European levels, in particular in the new Member States
Consensus Workshops (www.consensusworkshops.org) Consumers, scientists and stakeholders from the whole food and feed chain have identified consensus areas on key food issues, and linking these with EU food policy
EU Eco-label (www.eco-label.com) Information on the Eco-label, including the range of environmentally friendly products and services which carry it, and where to find them across Europe
International Chemical Secretariat (www.chemsec.org/list/) The International Chemical Secretariat (ChemSec) is a non-profit organisation that highlights the risks of hazardous substances and aims to influence and speed up the legislative process. Together with an advisory committee of NGOs, including BEUC, ChemSec is driving a project called the “SIN List” (Substitute It Now!) which currently consists of 267 chemicals identified as “Substances of Very High Concern” based on the criteria established by the new EU chemical regulation, REACH.
Chemicals Health Monitor (http://www.chemicalshealthmonitor.org/) Chemicals Health Monitor is a project of the Environment and Health Alliance (HEAL) conducted in collaboration with other partner organisations across Europe, including BEUC. The project aims to provide information to a non-specialist audience with a view to supporting measures which reduce the effects of hazardous chemicals. The project led to the development of the leaflet “Harmful chemicals in products you buy? Your right to know”.

TACD - Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue (www.tacd.org) Forum of US and EU consumer organisations which develops and agrees joint consumer policy recommendations to promote the consumer interest in EU and US policy making
Euroconsumers (www.conseur.org) European group founded in 1990. Euroconsumers develops, in five European countries, (Belgium, Spain, Italy, Portugal and France) the same information and consumer defense action.
The European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) (ec.europa.eu/consumers/redress/ecc_network/index_en.htm) The network gives information to and assists consumers who shop cross-border in the EU. It advises citizens on their rights as consumers and provides easy access to redress, particularly in cases where the consumer has purchased something in another EU country to his/her own.
SOLVIT (http://ec.europa.eu/solvit) This on-line problem solving network can help individual consumers with problems in areas such as driving licences, motor vehicle registration, market access for products, taxation, recognition of professional qualifications and diplomas or social security

EU Lobby Register https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/transparency/regrin/consultation/displaylobbyist.do?id=9505781573-45 To ensure that the European Union is “open to public scrutiny”, the European Commission, in the context of the European Transparency Initiative, created in 2008 an online register for interest representatives. Companies, business associations, consultancies as well as civil society organisations that engage in “activities carried out with the objective of influencing the policy formulation and decision-making processes of the European institutions” are encouraged to sign up. BEUC has subscribed to this EU lobby register. BEUC's EC transparency register identification number is 9505781573-45.
European Parliament Lobby Register (http://www.europarl.europa.eu/parliament/expert/lobbyAlphaOrderByOrg.do?letter=B&language=EN) BEUC is registered to the European Parliament lobby register. The European Parliament has numerous contacts with lobby groups, which have led it to adopt an associated code of conduct. The Quaestors are responsible for issuing individual named passes valid for a maximum of one year to people who wish to enter Parliament frequently to provide MEPs with information relating to their parliamentary duties, in their own interests or those of third parties.
